Whether you’re creating keepsakes for yourself or thoughtful gifts for family and grandparents, these timeless portraits will be treasured for years to come.

Visit the gallery

To view your child’s portraits, click on the “Gallery” button in the email you received from me. This will take you directly to your personal online gallery.

Select Downloads & Prints

When you’re ready, you’ll have the option to purchase Digital Image Files and heirloom Print Products. Digital files can be downloaded immediately after purchase, while prints will be delivered directly to your home.

View your portraits

Once inside the gallery, you can browse through the portraits and take your time selecting your favorites.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Online Gallery

  • You will receive the link to the online gallery approximately two weeks after photo day by eMail. In the gallery you will find all the portraits of your child (approximately 2-5) in color and black & white.

  • After you have viewed the gallery you can order High Resolution Digital Files, Prints or ready made Packages, containing the most popular options. This system gives you absolute flexibility and transparency, making sure you receive only what you need and love. Please note, that there is a 45 CHF order minimum for print items.

  • Gallery links are sent automatically to the email address you used during registration.
    If you don’t see the email in your inbox, please check your spam or promotions folder — occasionally, it may end up there.

    If you still haven’t received your link, contact me at hello@alexelaine.ch or via WhatsApp (078 401 97 04), and I’ll be happy to resend it to you right away.

  • Payments can be made securely online by credit card.

    If you prefer to pay via TWINT or bank transfer, please contact me directly at hello@alexelaine.ch or send me a message on WhatsApp (078 401 97 04), and I’ll be happy to arrange it for you.

  • If you have multiple children photographed, you’ll receive a separate gallery link for each child.
    In fairness to all families, I maintain one gallery per child — this ensures that everyone is treated equally, whether they have one child or several at the school.

    However, you can place all your print and digital orders in one combined checkout session for convenience.

  • Click “Forgot Password” on the gallery login page.
    You’ll receive an email to reset your password and regain access to your gallery.

  • After your gallery expires your images will be permanently archived. Galleries might be reactivated upon request. Please note that data storage is not guaranteed after a gallery has been permanently archived and some galleries may not be able to be reactivated, also note that higher shipping.

    Once the gallery is archived download permissions and print credit will expire and cannot be restored.

    Please note: Higher shipping and handling rates apply for print orders placed after gallery expiration.

  • Yes, I offer fully customized Family, Newborn, and Maternity Sessions designed to tell your story in an authentic and emotional way.

Digital Images

  • After your payment has been processed, a “Download” button will appear on the confirmation page in your gallery.
    You’ll also receive an order confirmation email with your order details and a link back to your gallery, where you can access and download your purchased files anytime.

  • You can download single images directly from your gallery after your payment has been processed.

    Step-by-step:

    1. Hover over the image you’d like to download.

    2. Click the downward-facing arrow icon that appears on the image.

    3. The JPEG file will automatically download to your Downloads folder, Dropbox, or Google Photos, depending on the option you select.

    Your selected image is now saved and ready to enjoy.

  • If you purchased the Complete Digital Collection, you can download all images at once after your payment has been processed.

    Step-by-step:

    1. Open your gallery and log in with your email address and password.

    2. Click the downward-facing arrow in the upper right corner.

    3. Select “Download Full Gallery.”

    4. Your images will be grouped into one or more ZIP files. Click the file (e.g., photos.zip) to start the download.

    5. Once the download is complete, extract the photos by double-clicking the ZIP folder or using ZIP extraction software.

    Your high-resolution images are now ready to view and store safely.

  • Unfortunately, once digital files have been downloaded, they cannot be exchanged or returned due to their nature as digital products. To ensure you’re completely satisfied with your selections, I recommend double-checking your choices before initiating the download. You can do this by favoriting the images you want to download beforehand.

  • All digital files are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs, ready for printing and sharing.
    They are suitable for both online use and high-quality prints.

  • Yes! You are welcome to share your purchased digital images with close family and friends.
    Please note, the images are for personal use only and may not be used for commercial or promotional purposes without permission.

    If you share your photos online (for example, on social media), I’d love if you tagged @alexelainephotography — it means a lot to see where these memories live on.

  • Yes, you are welcome to print your purchased digital images for personal use.
    Please note that I cannot guarantee color accuracy or print quality when images are not printed through me.

    I work with a trusted fine-art printing partner who ensures that each portrait is produced with exceptional color fidelity and craftsmanship.
    If you choose to print your images elsewhere, results may vary depending on paper type, printer calibration, and lab processes.

Prints

  • For class photos, I recommend printing at a minimum size of 15x20 cm on semi-gloss paper for optimal quality and clarity.
    For portraits, popular sizes include:

    • 13x18 cm or 15x20 cm for album inserts or desk frames

    • 20x25 cm for wall displays, to create a striking presence

  • You can choose between:

    • Semi-Gloss Paper: Subtle shine with minimal glare, offering balanced color and contrast — ideal for class photos and everyday displays. If you want a vivid, classic look, semi-gloss paper is perfect.

    • Fine Art Paper: Matte finish with a soft, textured surface for a refined, museum-quality look — perfect for keepsakes and heirloom portraits. If you prefer a soft, artistic finish with fine texture and depth, choose fine art paper for a timeless result.

  • Color may vary slightly due to paper choice (fine art vs. semi-gloss), lighting conditions, and screen calibration. These natural variations are part of the printing process and contribute to the unique character of each print.

  • Choosing a white border adds a classic look but slightly reduces the size of the image itself within the total print area.

  • Your prints are of outstanding quality, crafted by a professional lab using high-end papers, premium inks, and specialized processes that far exceed what is available from consumer labs. Many items are handmade, such as hand-cut edges, ensuring each piece is truly special.

    This level of craftsmanship takes time. Additionally, to minimize environmental impact, I consolidate orders wherever possible to reduce shipping. As a result, the typical turnaround time for print items is approximately 3 weeks.
